This game is a simulation of rapid re-housing. The simulation is designed to mimic the rapid re-housing and housing stabilization process. It has two major parts, simulating the process of helping somebody get into housing and simulating a housing stabilization plan. |

The 2013 National Conference on Ending Homelessness will offer an array of workshop tracks. When visiting the agenda page on the conference website, you’ll see special symbols listed next to each workshop to identify the tracks which they belong to. Workshop tracks are designed to guide participants who are interested in a given topic through a progressive set of workshops. Each workshop in a track is meant to build on the previous one in order to impart as thorough an understanding of the issue as possible. |

The Federal Government and the Commonwealth of Virginia are encouraging communities to reduce homelessness by allocating resources to permanent solutions such as rapid re-housing and permanent supportive housing. This template has been created to help identify how resources in the Continuum of Care region are currently allocated, how resources will be utilized, and how existing resources will be reallocated. |

The Finnish program to reduce long-term homelessness was implemented in 2008–2011, on the basis of a government resolution. 10 cities with the most pressing homelessness problem were included in the program (Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa, Tampere, Turku, Kuopio, Oulu, Jyväskylä, Lahti and Joensuu). Quantitative targets set for the program are about to be met, and the goal of halving homelessness will be realized in seven of the program cities.

When rapidly re-housing a survivor, the safety of the survivor is of paramount importance. In instances when program staff will be doing home visits with a survivor, the safety of staff also becomes of paramount priority. This document, provided by Home Free, a program of Volunteers of America – Oregon, is an example of safety protocols put in place to help keep staff safe in addition to survivors.
