August 1, 2013  |  Videos

This pre-conference session will help communities piece together how they can effectively and safely serve domestic violence survivors in the homeless assistance system. It will examine strategies to address survivors’ specific needs: during intake and assessment; through interim and permanent housing location and placement; and via voluntary service provision and partnerships with domestic violence providers. Participants will also learn how to integrate domestic violence providers into community homeless assistance and CoC governance structures. The intended audience for this pre-conference session is stakeholders involved with homeless assistance systems and CoC governance, homeless assistance providers, and domestic violence service providers.
