Why Give?

The Alliance works hard to ensure that the majority of your gift, 94.2% in 2008, goes directly to help end homelessness. For this reason the Alliance has received the highest honors from the following non-profit watchdog organizations:

Homelessness is one of the country’s most vexing problems – but one with a clear and effective solution: housing.

And yet, millions of people experience homelessness. Families, individuals, veterans and young people all experience homelessness – and we suspect that, as the economy continues to struggle, as many as one million additional people may experience homelessness before the recession’s end. More information about how the Alliance is working to ensure that does not happen can be accessed in our Annual Report.

A gift to the Alliance, regardless of the size, demonstrates your interest in being a part of ending, not just managing, the crisis of homelessness in our country.
