It is with great sadness that we share the news that former Washington Gov. Mike Lowry, Alliance Board Co-Chairman, five-term Member of the US House of Representatives, and longtime advocate for housing, environmental and other progressive causes, died Monday.
Gov. Lowry was an exceptional person of deep conviction, fierce determination, and abiding kindness. He made a tremendous contribution to the Alliance, sharing his political acumen and his hard-earned wisdom – contributions for which we have been, and will continue to be, deeply grateful.
Mike Lowry was a very special person and it was an honor to know and work with him. He will be missed by everyone at the Alliance.
