We’re looking forward to seeing you in San Diego this week for our 2015 National Conference on Ending Family and Youth Homelessness. Here in DC, as you may already be aware, we just had a ton of snow dumped on us. Some of us had our flights to San Diego canceled, and we’ve had to scramble to make new arrangements. But so far it looks like we’re all going to make it.
If you’re going to be there, please consider sharing your experience on social media using the conference hashtag #NAEH15. If you aren’t attending, you can keep up with the conference on Twitter, on the Alliance blog, and the Alliance Facebook page. Alliance staff will be tweeting about conference content, events, and speakers throughout the event.
If you’re still wondering what workshops you’d like to attend, please check out the Conference program journal for details about workshop content and speakers. For the first time, we’ve chosen to make the biographies of our speakers available online only (the better to include last-minute additions and corrections). You can find them here.
Also, please remember that in addition to the Meet & Mingle on Thursday evening, we’re going to be screening a great documentary on youth homelessness, “The Homestretch,” from 7:15 to 8:45 p.m. We’re currently trying to arrange a panel discussion after the screening that will include experts on youth homelessness and formerly homeless youth.
We’ll be announcing details about that discussion as soon as they become available. In the meantime, check out the trailer for the movie above.
