Al igual que el a\u00f1o anterior, la Administraci\u00f3n inst\u00f3 al Congreso a eliminar la financiaci\u00f3n del programa Continuum of Care (CoC), que proporciona vivienda permanente a personas sin hogar. Los fondos del CoC se desviar\u00edan a esfuerzos para proporcionar m\u00e1s refugios temporales.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seg\u00fan los datos nacionales m\u00e1s recientes, al menos <strong>217.782 personas<\/strong> viven en viviendas permanentes financiadas por el programa CoC. Sin embargo, <strong>es contraproducente expulsar a personas que anteriormente no ten\u00edan hogar de sus viviendas permanentes para financiar esta necesidad<\/strong>. Esto solo empeorar\u00e1 el problema de la falta de vivienda. La propuesta refleja la decisi\u00f3n de retirar fondos a programas que proporcionan servicios y viviendas <strong>permanentes<\/strong> a personas con discapacidad, personas mayores, familias con ni\u00f1os y veteranos, en favor de intervenciones <strong>temporales<\/strong>.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mientras el Congreso sopesa las propuestas del presidente en los pr\u00f3ximos meses, la Alianza hace un llamamiento a los l\u00edderes elegidos para que hagan todo lo que est\u00e9 en su mano para evitar un desastre innecesario en materia de sinhogarismo.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div
