2022 Capitol Hill Day (Virtual)September 14 - 14, 2022
Capitol Hill Day will not occur as part of the 2022 National Conference on Ending Homelessness, but will be held instead as a virtual event on Wednesday, September 14. This decision is necessary since the U.S. Capitol Building and Congressional Office Buildings remain closed to the public. Last year’s virtual Capitol Hill Day was a strong success. The Alliance urges you to participate in September; more details are forthcoming.
Some legislative offices are allowing small groups to visit in person, but most office are strictly virtual. Attendance policies vary by individual office; those that are open require staff escorts and a scheduling process with the US Capitol Police. Unfortunately, the Alliance is not able to help with these arrangements in July. However, we can supply legislative fact sheets and materials to attendees who manage to schedule their own meetings.
The 2022 National Conference on Ending Homelessness agenda in July will also include a legislative training and planning event to prepare for Capitol Hill Day on September 14.
