Impact

The Rent Relief Act (S. 1106, H.R. 2169) would make housing more affordable, and thus reduce homelessness, by reducing the rent burden on ordinary Americans through the establishment of refundable tax credits for individuals who pay rent for a principal residence that exceeds 30% of their gross income for the taxable year.
