This Privacy Policy outlines how the National Alliance to End Homelessness (“NAEH,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, and discloses information from visitors to our website and donors.   2. Donors
    • Donor-Specific Information: In addition to the above, we collect personal information from donors, such as name, address, phone number, email address, and donation details. Tax laws require us to keep this information on file.

We use the collected information for various purposes:

    • Customize your experience by providing content based on your interests.

  • Donor Information: We will never publish, sell, trade, or share donor information with third parties for any reason, except to process transactions, comply with the law, or as outlined above. 

Security 

We take reasonable precautions to secure your information. However, no data transmission over the Internet is entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information. Donor financial information is encrypted during transactions, and we do not store payment information. Online donations are processed directly through PayPal. 

Your Choices

  • Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to gather data about how users access and interact with the website. You can opt out of Google Analytics by visiting https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
  • Donor Preferences: Donors may update their communication preferences by contacting development@naeh.org or indicating preferences in the comments section of the donation form. Donors also have the option to donate anonymously online. 

Donor Bill of Rights 

NAEH adheres to the Donor Bill of Rights, ensuring that donors have the right to: 

  1. To be informed of the organization’s mission, of the way the organization intends to use donated resources and of its capacity to use donations effectively for their intended purposes. 
  2. To be informed of the identity of those serving on the organization’s governing board and to expect the board to exercise prudent judgment in its stewardship responsibilities. 
  3. To have access to the organization’s most recent financial statements. 
  4. To be assured their gifts will be used for the purposes for which they were given. 
  5. To receive appropriate acknowledgment and recognition. 
  6. To be assured that information about their donation is handled with respect and with confidentiality to the extent provided by law. 
  7. To expect that all relationships with individuals representing organizations of interest to the donor will be professional in nature. 
  8. To be informed whether those seeking donations are volunteers, employees of the organization or hired solicitors. 
  9. To have the opportunity for their names to be deleted from mailing lists that an organization may intend to share. 
  10. To feel free to ask questions when making a donation and to receive prompt, truthful and forthright answers. 

Changes to This Policy 

If we update this Privacy Policy, we will notify you by posting the revised version on this page and, where appropriate, providing additional notice as required by law.
