Protect Service Providers Who Serve People Experiencing Homelessness

Authoring organization: National Alliance to End Homelessness

Restrictive local laws and punitive regulations increasingly interfere with homeless services providers’ lifesaving work to connect people experiencing homelessness to housing, health care, food, and other basic survival services.

This bill would ensure that service providers can deliver essential services without fear of penalty, and reaffirms that homelessness should be addressed through housing and support—not criminalization.
