Tell Congress: HUD Must Keep Its Promises
Homeless services providers are on the front lines every day, working to help people move from the streets into housing. But right now, a sudden change from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) threatens to derail that critical work.
Despite a bipartisan agreement for a two-year funding process, HUD is planning to force providers back into a time-consuming application process this year. This unexpected burden would pull resources away from what matters most: helping people experiencing homelessness.
Congress needs to act now to hold HUD to its promise.
Tell your Member of Congress: keep the focus on housing people, not paperwork. HUD must reconsider issuing a Notice of Funding Opportunity in FY2025.
