This week, the White House directed the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to order all federal agencies to temporarily freeze activities associated with the obligation and disbursement of all grants, loans, and other financial assistance by 5pm on January 28. Please note, shortly before the pause was set to go into effect, a federal judge ordered the Trump Administration to not proceed with the funding freeze until at least Monday, February 3, when there is another hearing scheduled.
If this funding freeze is permitted to proceed, the direct and indirect implications on people and community will be far reaching. The National Alliance to End Homelessness wants to hear from you—those who will be most directly impacted—so that we can uplift your experiences and concerns as we continue to push against this federal action.
The Alliance’s advocacy team will be using this information to communicate the impacts of funding freezes on communities and organizations who depend on this funding.
Please note: All identifying information (name, employer, location, etc.) will not be shared outside of the Alliance without your explicit consent. The content of your submission will be anonymized, and used to support the Alliance’s advocacy to Congressional offices and the Executive Branch on the impacts of these actions.
All responses are due by 5:00 pm PST Friday, January 31, 2025.
