Advocate Impact

Together, we have made measurable change to address homelessness in the United States.

After an outpour of concern from over 10,000 advocates and others across the country, the Administration backtracked from a devastating federal funding freeze in February 2025.

Advocates rejected the President’s Fiscal Year 2026 proposed budget and instead successfully fought for $77.3 billion for Department of Housing and Urban Development programs, more than a $7.2 billion increase over the previous fiscal year.

Advocates encouraged more than 180 Democratic, Republican and Independent mayors from across the country to sign on to a letter from the U.S. Conference of Mayors that urging Congress to renew all Continuum of Care grants set to expire in 2026. Advocates also urged over 20 House Republican members to sign onto a similar letter of concern.
