The Alliance is excited to announce that, together with Boston College student and homelessness advocate Gordon Wayne, it has identified and provided grants to five organizations working to support homeless and at-risk families. These funds will be used to prevent homelessness for vulnerable families, and re-house those currently living in congregate shelter both in Boston and in Gordon’s home state of Virginia.
Recipients of these funds include Habitat for Humanity at Boston College; Micah Ecumenical Ministries and Loisann’s Hope House in Fredericksburg, Virginia; Family Aid Boston; and Project Hope Boston.
The COVID-19 pandemic and resulting economic crisis have been a challenge for us all, and in particular for vulnerable families. The Alliance is honored to be partnering with Gordon in these efforts to help mitigate those challenges, and is inspired by his generosity and dedication. Note: The Alliance is not typically a grant-making organization, and does not accept proposals for funding.
