General Information

WHEN AND WHERE IS THE CONFERENCE & CAPITOL HILL DAY?

The 2024 National Conference on Ending Homelessness and Capitol Hill Day takes place on Monday, July 8, 2024 – Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at the Washington Hilton (1919 Connecticut Ave. NW, Washington, D.C., 20009). Name badge pick-up and registration starts on Sunday, July 7, from 3:00 – 5:00 P.M. You can find more information about the venue and available transportation on the Hotel and Travel page.

Capitol Hill Day will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2024. All conference registrants are eligible to participate. Separate registration is not required. Congressional meeting schedules will be determined by State Coordinators and will be held at the U.S. Capitol building.

DOES THE ALLIANCE ACCEPT PROPOSALS FOR WORKSHOP TOPICS AND SPEAKERS?

Conference content is sourced both from Alliance staff and from experts in the field. The Alliance holds a Call for Presentations (CFP) for each conference in an effort to foster increased input and collaboration from field partners. Safety

WHAT HEALTH & SAFETY PRECAUTIONS ARE BEING TAKEN BECAUSE OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC?

For the 2024 National Conference on Ending Homelessness and Capitol Hill Day, the Alliance will not require COVID-19 vaccinations. Masks are optional but encouraged. Please review our Health and Safety Precautions below:

Health and Safety Precautions

The Alliance is committed to following all health and safety precautions to maintain a healthy environment for all attendees. Please be aware that these precautions are the minimum requirement while noting that the Alliance continues to monitor the environment and may implement more stringent requirements as the conference approaches.

  1. General Attendee and Guest Precautions. Attendees are strongly encouraged to be up to date with their COVID-19 vaccinations per CDC guidelines as of September 12, 2023. This means having completed a COVID-19 vaccine primary series and received the most recent booster dose recommended by the CDC and as authorized or approved by the Food and Drug Administration, or for international guests, the World Health Organization.
     
  2. Attestation. Attendees will be required to attest during registration that they will test for COVID-19 if exhibiting any symptoms prior to the departure for the event, while attending the event, and/or following their return home after the event. Attendees should not participate in the event if, at any point, they test positive before or during the event.
     
  3. Enforcement. CDC recommendations or requirements of the host city will be in effect at the time of the meeting will be enacted and enforced.
     
  4. Masks are encouraged but not required. Anyone who wishes to wear a mask is welcome to do so and their decision should be respected.

These Health and Safety Precautions apply to ALL attendees, including all volunteers, speakers, sponsors, and guests. Attendees should check the event website for any changes to these precautions.

WHAT IF I’M EXHIBITING COVID SYMPTOMS OR TEST POSITIVE FOR COVID BEFORE THE CONFERENCE?

If you are exhibiting COVID symptoms or test positive before traveling to the conference, please contact conference@naeh.org immediately to discuss your attendance and registration options.


Registration

HOW MUCH IS REGISTRATION?

The regular conference registration fee is $885.00. Registration will be available until Friday, June 7, 2024 at 3:00 P.M. ET or until registration is sold out.

WHAT IS INCLUDED WITH REGISTRATION?

Registration for the three-day conference includes access to all conference sessions and plenaries, a Networking Reception on Monday evening, additional networking opportunities, and continental breakfast and lunch on Tuesday and Wednesday.

I AM UNABLE TO PAY ONLINE WITH A CREDIT CARD. HOW CAN I REGISTER?

If your organization requires payment by purchase order or requires an invoice for payment, please email conference@naeh.org. Invoices can be paid by check or with credit card over the phone.

SOMETHING CAME UP AND I CAN’T ATTEND. WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?

Cancellation requests made by 11:59 P.M. ET on Friday, May 24, 2024, will incur a $50 cancellation fee. Requests made between Saturday, May 25, 2024, and Friday, June 14, 2024, by 11:59 P.M. ET will incur a $150 cancellation fee. Cancellations made on or after Saturday, June 15, 2024, will receive no refund.

Volunteering and Scholarships

I RECEIVED A SCHOLARSHIP IN THE PAST. CAN I APPLY AGAIN?

The Alliance offers conference scholarships to people with lived experience of homelessness, and/or those who have experienced homelessness in the past five years. Scholarship applications will close at 11:59 P.M. ET on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 or until the application limit has been reached. The Alliance will accept 150 scholarship applications for this conference. If you have received a scholarship in the last two years, you are not eligible for a scholarship to this conference.

I VOLUNTEERED LAST YEAR. CAN I VOLUNTEER AGAIN?

The Alliance will prioritize volunteer positions for those who have not volunteered in the past. Volunteers from previous conferences are welcome to apply.

ARE TRAVEL/HOTEL COSTS COVERED FOR VOLUNTEERS? HOW ABOUT FOOD?

Volunteers receive complimentary registration to the conference, including access to all sessions, continental breakfast, and plenary lunches. Volunteers must arrange and cover the costs of their own transportation and lodging.


Sponsorships and Information Tables

I JUST PURCHASED AN INFORMATION TABLE. CAN THE PEOPLE STAFFING THE TABLE ATTEND WORKSHOPS OR PLENARY SESSIONS?

Individuals staffing information tables may not participate in the conference (this includes attending both workshops and plenaries) unless they have paid an attendee registration fee.

ARE SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES OR INFORMATION TABLES STILL AVAILABLE?

The application deadline for sponsorships and information tables is Wednesday, May 15, 2024.

I AM A SPONSOR. WHERE DO I SEND MY LOGO AND OTHER MATERIALS FOR THE CONFERENCE MOBILE APP?

Many of your materials were collected on your application. For further details and instructions, please contact our Development Manager, Allie Mattil, at development@naeh.org.

CAN I ASSIGN MORE THAN TWO INFORMATION TABLE STAFFERS AT THE CONFERENCE?

No. Only two staff are allowed per information table, and rotation of staff during the conference is not allowed. Staffers must wear their name badges at all times, or they will be asked to leave the event.


Miscellaneous

DOES THE ALLIANCE OFFER CEUS FOR ATTENDING THE CONFERENCE?

While we do not offer Continuing Education Units (CEUs), we are able to provide you with a letter confirming your registration after the conference has ended.
