The National Alliance to End Homelessness (Alliance) is pleased to announce the establishment of the Shirley Raines Good Neighbor Fund to support organizations in the Washington, D.C. area working to end unsheltered homelessness for high barrier individuals. In alignment with our values—faith, love, and home—the Alliance leads with love, equity, and respect for our unhoused neighbors. The fund will provide flexible financial assistance to organizations that support individuals and families with high barriers or needs on their path towards permanent housing.
Eligible Award Recipients
The Alliance regularly partners with various local nonprofit organizations in Washington, D.C., which has a Comprehensive Street Outreach Network. This network provides strategic support to individuals living on the street or in locations that are not fit for human habitation in three geographic clusters with an emphasis on re-housing. Only organizations who provide services as part of the Comprehensive Street Outreach Network are eligible award recipients for this fund.
