Calculating Change: The Continuing Conversation on Homelessness Data Reform

Over the last year, the Alliance reached out to people in the homelessness field to gather ideas for data reform. The result was a recent report: “Calculating Change: Future Directions for Homelessness Data Use and Reporting.” Though not an endpoint of the reform conversation, it is a continuation that includes topics such as making more data publicly available, the value of client-level data, enhancing reporting on people of color, and collecting data about the homeless services workforce. The panel will discuss the report and ways that the field can improve its approaches to data.

Speakers:

  • Joy Moses (NAEH)
  • Dennis Culhane (University of Pennsylvania)
  • Shercole King (SVKing Consulting)
