Thank you to everyone who was able to join us last week at the 2017 National Conference on Ending Homelessness and Capitol Hill Day for making it an incredible event yet again.
More than 2,000 service providers, government leaders, advocates, and consumers convened together in our Nation’s Capital at a pivotal time to work together, collaborate, learn from each other, and raise your voice to Congress to continue the fight to end homelessness across the country.
The energy and enthusiasm for the work you do, and the dedication you all showed us to continue finding innovative solutions to homelessness and build on the progress we have made in recent years was inspiring.
Over the course of the three days last week, we heard keynote addresses from Alliance President and CEO, Nan Roman, Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, Ben Carson, and the Ranking Member of the House Financial Services Committee, Congresswoman Maxine Waters. We learned lessons from hundreds of speakers from across the country in workshops covering the most pressing issues in ending homelessness. And, we sent Congress a strong message that ending homelessness in the United States must be a priority with hundreds of meetings on the Hill with Members of Congress and their staff, as well as emails, tweets, and the launching of a new campaign to raise investments in affordable housing.
For those who would like to look back at some of what was covered this year, or for those who were not able to make it but want to check in, we have some resources available for you.
