A robust response is needed to address rising homelessness in rural areas. Long understood as a largely urban issue, many of the tools and strategies to address homelessness were developed in urban communities, like permanent supportive housing (PSH). Service providers and housing developers face significant structural barriers to create and maintain PSH in rural areas. This webinar featured research by the Housing Initiative at Penn on this topic. The researchers were joined by rural practitioners and policy advocates for a panel discussion and Q&A about these challenges and the emerging solutions to address them.
