Resolving Encampments with Outreach, Services, and Housing: Lessons Learned from Research

Communities across the country are seeking solutions to rising unsheltered homelessness. Jurisdictions must chart a path forward that both addresses the immediate health and safety needs of people experiencing homelessness while creating durable pathways to stable housing. This webinar will feature recent research by Homebase about encampment response in four California communities from the perspective of encampment residents, service providers, and system leaders. The researchers will be joined by practitioners for a panel discussion and Q&A about lessons learned in encampment response and how best to engage with people who are unsheltered.

This webinar is the third in a series focused on the Alliance’s Research into Action project, which funded 10 original research studies to address questions relevant to practitioners and policymakers.
