Connecting People Experiencing Homelessness to Economic Impact Payments

People experiencing homelessness are entitled to receive Economic Impact Payment (EIP) benefits – also known as stimulus checks – provided under the CARES Act and American Rescue Plan Act. However, because the process for accessing these payments has been unclear, many people have not yet received payments they are due.

It is essential that providers, system leaders, advocates, and others do all they can to assist people experiencing homelessness in receiving payments for which they are eligible. Each provider should make it their goal to ensure 100 percent of their clients receive their EIP.
